Page Content

The Dale , it faculty fellows, and its graduate students appear in several different media venues--from YouTube to Twitter, from the New York Times to the National Geographic channel.  The links below offer a gateway to those multiple media venues.

The Dale YouTube Channel and Videos page is the link to both the Dale 's YouTube Channel, which houses videos of most of our events and a link to other videos highlighting the work of Dale faculty.

The group and the both highlight Dale events, presentations and research projects of our faculty and graduate students, and interesting news in the fields of war and society and military history. Give us a follow!

The Dale was proud to partner with Souther Miss's for Oral History and Cultural Heritage (COHCH) to produce the in 2024.  The podcast featured ten episodes covering WWII, from the start of the war to its aftermath.  Several Dale faculty members participated as experts on the podcast and the series was overseen by Dale Fellow, Dr. Kevin Greene (who is also the Director of the COHCH).

The Dale In the News page houses links to news coverage and press releases about Dale events, projects, programs, and conferences, as well as about Dale faculty and graduate students in media venues across the country and internationally.

Past Programs

Running from 2014 to 2022, the Dale 's Blog, was where Dale Fellows and graduate students, as well as distinguished guest authors, wrote posts highlighting issues in the history of war and society and military history, as well as contemporary issues that intersect with those worlds.

The Dale Partnership with "Made by History" a special section of the Washington Post newspaper.  “Made by History” produced rigorous historical analysis of current events and public debates in an easily digestible format for the general public.  The partnership, which ran from 2021 to 2024 helped ensure that Dale faculty and graduate students are better able to contribute to current news stories with a historical perspective.
