STEMontheGO is a new 人妻乱伦 program to help 人妻乱伦 faculty illustrate and communicate their research findings by building mobile 'go kits' to bring to K-12 schools, Black and Gold Day,
public events, and more as part of a larger $1.5 million U.S. Department of Education award to expand the 人妻乱伦鈥檚 STEM ecosystem.

In summer 2024, the 人妻乱伦 selected 13 recipients from the College of 人妻乱伦 and Sciences, including faculty members and graduate students, to receive funding to build and share kits of their own design to more broadly communicate their work. The 人妻乱伦 hosted a STEM Carnival in October to showcase the kits to the more than 1,500 residents who attended the free event. Additionally, the program proposes to build 'STEM trails' in Hattiesburg and along the Coast, with fun, family-friendly exhibits that feature the research done at the university.

STEMontheGO's ultimate goal is to improve 人妻乱伦鈥檚 science communication, bringing the cutting-edge work of our professors to a broader audience via hands-on demonstrations, making the research more engaging and consumable for the public.
